Ford Theatres ARTISTS Partnership Program

This page is intended for Los Angeles County-based independent artists, nonprofit organizations, presenters, independent producers and producing collectives interested in performing in the 2020 season at the Ford Theatres.

Every year, the Ford Theatres presents an eclectic season of music, dance, theatre and film events that celebrate the region by reflecting on stage the cultural and artistic diversity of the people of Los Angeles County. In 2020, the Ford Theatres will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Read more about the Ford's history here. Approximately one half of main stage evening programming in the 2020 season will be comprised of Artists Partnership Program presentations.

Artists Partnership Program APPLICATION Process

The Ford Theatres Artists Partnership Program (APP) is a competitive application process that provides independent artists, nonprofit organizations, presenters, producers or producing collectives the opportunity to co-present with the Ford Theatres in a historic 1,180-seat performing arts facility. Using a shared risk/revenue model, selected participants will receive preferred dates and access to a fully renovated venue, including lighting and sound equipment and production, marketing, and box office support. There are no upfront fees to participate. Participants retain 80-90% of ticket sales, minus crew costs and other production-related expenses, and are responsible for bringing the proposed event to fruition at the Ford. Participants are also responsible for artist fees and for executing targeted marketing efforts to reach and expand their audiences.

From April 29 through June 10, 2019, the Ford Theatres will be accepting Letters of Intent (LOI) to apply to the 2020 Artists Partnership Program for its 100th Anniversary Season.

The APP has a two-tier application format to minimize the work for applicants at the first stage. Letters of Intent that reflect Ford Theatres’ mission of providing access to exemplary arts and culture experiences representative of our multifaceted communities that deepen human connections and broaden cultural understanding will be considered. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the Ford Theatres APP guidelines before submitting an LOI.

To Be Eligible you must be a Los Angeles County-based independent artist, nonprofit organization, presenter, producer or producing collective interested in presenting in the Ford Theatres 100th Anniversary Season, from June through mid-October.

Deadline to submit Letter of Intent is June 10, 2019 at 11:58pm.
