With all of the rain and political turmoil of late, it’s hard to grasp that spring is just around the corner.  We get it. And so, we thought we’d interrupt the stream of hard news hitting your inbox with something pleasant. We invite you to take a moment this month to revisit some of your favorite Ford performances from last summer. It’s easier than you think - many are performing this month around town. Check it out:

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and Pacific Opera Project has love on their minds –Donizetti’s Elixir of Love, that is. This fanciful romantic comedy hits the stage of the Ebell Club of Highland Park Feb 11-25. Visit for tickets and info.

On Saturday, February 18, experience Grammy –award winning La Santa Cecilia at the Valley Performing Arts Center. Named for the patron saint of music, La Santa Cecilia blends Latin culture, rock and world music to create a sound that’s distinctly LA.

Next up is the Flypoet Winter Classic, which takes place Saturday, February 25 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. Prepare to be severely entertained by special musical guests Angie Stone, Eric Benet and some of the hottest spoken word artists in the country.

Also on February 25, Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company presents Un Tributo A Mexico at the historic Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro. This event is free to residents of the 15th District and on sale now for everyone else.

And finally, in case you missed it, Lila Downs did a killer Tiny Desk Concert, Vaud and the Villains took over Jam in the Van HQ and Rocky Dawuni brings his positive vibes to Shine A Light on the world. Now that's something we all need.
